“What a great concept. Combining the best of late night talk shows with political insight and an intelligent measured opinion. Mark has honed his talents as a podcaster to make a show that makes you laugh and think about what’s really going on. A must for anyone interested entertainment, comedy, politics and a lot of thought provoking satire! I look forward to to every episode.” ~Joshua Clay Black via Apple Podcasts ·Australia ·11/08/2018

Main Editing Station

The two bottom monitors are connected to a dedicated computer that is never connected to the Internet. Late Nite Last Week® is edited, mixed and mastered on Adobe Audition. The dual 50″ screens allow Mark to stretch audio clips up and out across multiple channels, making possible the extra-tight edits that define the highly curated experience committed listeners are accustomed to. The two top monitors are permanently connected to a separate machine dedicated to recording audio and conducting research and datamining.

“A brilliant summary of the late show scene on a daily basis. This is amongst the best podcasts available & I for one love the way it is pulled together. Mark Whitney u are a star.” ~Harj J via Apple Podcasts ·Great Britain ·12/08/2018

Main Recording Station

Mark does not skimp on the capital investment necessary to give it that Late Nite Last Week sound. For example, Germany’s’ Neumann TLM 103 mic is the same one used by legacy audio-only artists like Howard Stern.

My only do-not-miss podcast!

“I have been listening to this podcast since episode one and LOVE IT. It is the only podcast I make sure to listen to every week. The combination of comedy and political opinion makes me laugh and also makes me think. If you are too busy to watch the late night comedians or follow pop cultural happenings via twitter etc, this show will keep you in the know. I really appreciate the purposeful inclusion of female and minority voices (which are mostly absent from the official “late night” shows). More importantly, the host, Mark Whitney, has a sharp mind and applies it to a weekly analysis of the US political scene through critical analysis of the intersectionality between pop culture and politics. If you are looking for a “third lens” through which to view current events, this is it. Highly recommended.” ~Seniortopia via Apple Podcasts ·United States of America ·12/19/2018
